arranged by GCS's PTO.
This afternoon, we went to a fun a assembly where we learned about four different holidays through song: Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Ramadan.
Did you know that "Jingle Bells" is actually not a Christmas song. When it was written, it was originally called "One-Horse Open Sleigh", and was written in celebration of Thanksgiving.
Did you know that "Santa Claus" is called different things around the world.
In England, he is called "Father Christmas". In France, he is called "Pere Noel". In Germany, he is called Kriss Kringle. In Italy, he is called "La Befana". And in Russia, he is called "Debushka Moroz".
Thank you GCS PTO!
