We read a book about all different types of families - some families look the same, some families look different; some families have two moms or two dads, some families have a mom and a dad, some families have one parent - a mom or a dad; some families are messy, some families are clean; some families are loud, some families are quiet...and so much more!
We shared about our families and how each is different,
but we all agreed that each family is SPECIAL.
We then created our own family trees!
First, we glued our trunk to the top of our tree.
Then, we had to add different colored 'leaves' to our tree,
following these rules:
Red = Mom(s)/Step-Mom(s)
Green = Dad(s)/Step-Dad(s)
Yellow = Sister(s)/Step-Sister(s)
Orange = Brother(s)/Step-Brother(s)
Brown = Pet(s)
White = Grandparent(s)
