Today, friends from Susan B. Anthony visited us to talk to us about conflicts and controlling our anger using puppets.
A conflict is a problem. In order to deal with a our anger when faced with a conflict, we should "Take 5" to help us 'cool off' and get back to normal. "Take 5" can mean to do something 5 times (e.g., doing 5 jumping jacks, jump roping 5 times), counting to 5, taking 5 deep breaths, or 'napping' for 5 seconds.
We also learned important Anger Rules:
-Don't hurt yourself
-Don't hurt others
-Don't hurt toys or other things
-Do talk about it
Susan B. Anthony gave us book marks, which include these Anger Rules, and a list that you can fill in with ideas of "How to 'Take 5'".
