We read “The Apple Pie Tree” by Zoe Hall, “Apple Farmer Annie” by Monica Wellington, and “Ten Red Apples” by Pat Hutchins.
We learned a new morning song:
"Apples, Apples, 1, 2, 3
Apples for ___________________
and apples for me!"
We also enjoyed our music movement -
We loved visiting our apple orchard! We picked red, green, and yellow apples (real apples, toy apples, and crumpled up construction paper) from our "field" (empty sensory table), and then paid for them at our apple orchard stand.
After reading, "The Apple Pie Tree" by Zoe Hall, we then created our apple pie craft! Help your child count the apples!
We worked all week to read our "My Aa Book" - "The apple. The ax. The astronaut. The alligator. The alphabet!" We are very proud to be readers!
We practiced the proper letter formation by 'dotting' the letter "A".
