Today, we watch Sesame Street's "Word on the Street: Respect".
We talked about how it's important to respect the people in your life, like your parents, teachers, and friends. Respect means showing someone that you care about them and their important. We talked about ways we can show respect, such as listening when someone is talking, sharing, taking turns, using kind words, and using 'manners' like "please" and "thank you".

This is a bucket that we work to fill with hearts. If Miss Gray sees us doing something respectful and/or following our rules on our Prekindergarten Promise, then she gives a heart to put in the bucket. The hearts represent how much Miss Gray LOVES when we make 'good choices'.
(When the bucket is full, we will decide on a reward as a class, such as extra outdoor time or free play, pajama day, a special snack, etc.)
