"Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall,
All the king's horses and all the king's men,
Couldn't put Humpty together again."
We tried to put Humpty Dumpty back together again! We practiced our fine motor skills by "dotting" white paint where Humpty Dumpty was cracked.
We tried to get Humpty Dumpty (a plastic egg) to sit on a wall (a block) by using washers to try and make him heavier. The preschoolers had a great time experimenting to find the perfect weight for Humpty to sit without falling off the wall! We also used magnets to move Humpty Dumpty back and forth on the wall.
We also opened our "Humpty Dumpty Repair Shop"! The students used tools (plastic nails, screws, hammers, etc.) as well as string, clothespins, and of course their WONDERFUL IMAGINATION, to try and "fix" Humpty Dumpty.
